Quarantine Assistant at the Department of Agriculture and Representative of the Independence Night Market Committee, Teresa Dias is inviting all to the upcoming Independence Night Market.
During an interview with the Ministry of Agriculture’s Media & Communication Unit, Dias expressed that various vendors will be at the event providing local food and drinks.
“On the Public Market on the 22nd, we’ll be having the different types of vendors here available for persons to come and purchase their agro-processed items, their fresh produce and you can even come and get some cooked items during the evening. We are going to have barbecue vendors, we are going to have persons selling salt fish and dumplings, some persons might be selling some regional dishes. So we are really asking persons to come on out on that night, the 22nd here at the Public Market and support our local vendors, our local [farmers], our local fishers and our cooked food vendors”, she stated.
The Independence Night Market, which is being hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources forms part of the federation’s 38th Anniversary of Independence activities.
The event is set to take place on Wednesday 22 September from 5 pm-10 pm.
