St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Health centers opened on Saturday and Sunday (June 26 and 27) to allow more people to take the jab. Officials report that a large number of people showed up to take their first or second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine over the weekend.
Published figures for Sunday reveal that 47.8 percent of the adult population had received the second jab so far. It takes two weeks after the second jab to be fully vaccinated.
68.8 percent of the adult population have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
In terms of distribution overall, 38,499 vaccines have been distributed and out of that number 15,778 people had received their second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Health officials want to deliver two doses of the vaccine to 33,037 people(the adult population in the Federation) to achieve herd immunity by September.
