St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): While COVID-19 has caused mass disruption across the globe, it has also offered new opportunities for cooperation between countries.
That’s the view of the outgoing Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Barbados and the Caribbean, His Excellency Gustavo Pandiani.
The Ambassador, who served for the past three years in the region, recounted some of the areas of cooperation between St. Kitts and Nevis and Argentina.
These include training at the Diplomatic Academy in Argentina, a sports program between his country and St. Kitts and Nevis, and training in honey production.
He said before COVID-19, only fifty participants have involved Spanish as a second language program in primary schools in Barbados.
After COVID-19 hit and the program went online the number of students has doubled, he said in an online interview.
Pandiani said it was an honor and privilege to serve in the region and he hopes to continue fostering diplomatic relations between Argentina and the English-speaking Caribbean.
