Anti-Narcotics Unit seizes 30kg of suspected Hashish from Southeast Peninsula

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): A package of drugs weighing 30kg was seized by the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) in the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) from the Southeast Peninsula according to a statement from law enforcement.

Officers of the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) seized the contraband on the night of April 13, 2023, from Turtle Beach based on information received from Police personnel at the Frigate Bay Police Station.

The statement read, “There, they encountered one brown package that was observed to have been emitting a strong smell of Cannabis… The suspected contraband was taken into Police custody where a further inspection revealed three packages containing 60 transparent packages containing a brown substance suspected to be Hashish.”

 

No person(s) of interest have been identified or arrested in connection with the drugs.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing. More on this as information becomes available.
