(Antigua Observer) New restrictions to reduce the spread of coronavirus are currently in effect in Antigua and Barbuda and they include hefty penalties for businesses and individuals that flout them.
Persons run the risk of being charged $5000 or spending six months in prison if they operate outside of the regulations which came into effect on Friday at 8 pm and will continue until 5 am on Friday, February, 19th 2021.
During that time, no bar or club is allowed to operate while other non-essential businesses are restricted to operating within a mandatory nine-hour curfew period which starts at 8 pm and ends at 5 am each day.
