St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) Antoine “Goat Head” Galloway was convicted and sentenced to three years and six months in prison with hard labour, having been charged for the possession of a firearm and the possession of ammunition.
The hearing was presided over by the Chief Magistrate His Honour Mr. Renold Benjamin on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
According to Police, between 11:00 pm and midnight on Christmas Day December 25, 2022, two officers in the Royal St.Christopher and Nevis Police Force; Detective Raymond and Detective Peters were on patrol in Basseterre and observed Galloway in the vicinity of the old Treasury Building.
Galloway was on a bicycle and stopped at the traffic lights. Reports suggest that he was acting suspiciously, so the officers called him and he quickly rode away.
One of the officers exited the police vehicle and pursued Galloway by foot and 1 black pistol with four matching rounds of ammunition fell from his possession during the pursuit. The weapon and ammunition were seized by police.
