St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The Department of Youth Empowerment is encouraging young aspiring musicians in St. Kitts and Nevis to take advantage of a musical program organised for summer 2023.
The International Music Camp is hosting an International Youth Cultural Exchange Program in North Dakota (US) at the International Peace Garden.
The Ministry of Youth Empowerment will select two students from either St. Kitts or Nevis between the ages of 14-18 who are outstanding in music to attend this auspicious programme. The program aims to develop the youths’ understanding of music from a global outlook through private lessons, master classes, music theory and ensemble rehearsals.
The students will learn about various genres of music, including band, guitar, piano, musical theatre, jazz music and vocals, choir and orchestra, facilitated by over 150 professional music teachers and guest conductors from around the world.
Individuals interested in attending the music camp should submit their name and contact information to the Department of Youth Empowerment via the email youth@gov.skn with the subject ” International Music Camp”.
The deadline for submission is March 01, 2023. Each applicant is required to partake in an interview process from which the two students will be selected. However, a United States Visa is required ahead of travel in July.
