St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – “This morning, someone or some people broke into my container where I’m building and stole almost everything in there,” said Yarayni Morton in a social media post on Wednesday, 08 February 2023.
According to Morton, the missing items include more [than] 100 pieces of form ply, more than 100 pieces of 2×4 wood, 25 bags of cement, cvc pipes, damp-proof plastics and a number of contractors tools which includes red wheelbarrows and 3×3 foot levels.
The former Queen is pleading with the general public to assist her in locating the stolen items.
She said, “I know someone on here must have seen something. Moving that [much] material is not normal). I am urging an honest person to lead me to the location of the items. Whoever you are can do so anonymously and lead me to their whereabouts.”
Morton expressed her desire to offer a cash award to any individual who ensures the recovery of the items. Her contact number is 767-1011, or contact can be made on her social media platforms.
A similar larceny matter was brought to the general public’s attention less than a month ago, where a container belonging to Ms Kerry Laws was broken into and the contents stolen. That container included a mattress and base, a tub jacuzzi, 23 windows, 12 doors, 2x8x18 Board, a generator, 2 chop saw jackhammers, crowbars, shovel, drill and drill battery, hammer, 59 jacks and a kitchen sink.
A senior officer in the Royal St.Christopher and Nevis Police Force confirmed that several arrests were made in that case, and some of those individuals were released.
Meanwhile, some of the goods were recovered, but the police could not verify whether or not the items had already been returned to the owner.
