St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The death of Deshaun Leader was the result of blood loss from a gunshot wound, according to Resident Pathologist Dr. Adrian Nuñez.
Dr. Nuñez concluded, through an autopsy carried out on March 02, that death resulted from hypovolemic shock due to massive hemoperitoneum due to a gunshot wound to the back.
The 36-year-old originally from St. Paul’s but resided at Crab Hill, Sandy Point, was accosted sometime after 8 p.m. February 25 by an armed assailant who shot at him. He tried to escape by running away, but the armed assailant chased him and continued firing. He later fell and succumbed to his injuries.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
