St. Kitts and Nevis (Sports Page) – On Monday, May 29th, the Blue Marlin Swim Academy located at Bird rock Beach, St Kitts, hosted the WHIT MONDAY SWIM FEST.
The WHIT MONDAY SWIM FEST included 60 swimming races for children under 6 up to 17 years in age in three disciplines: Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke.
Six clubs participated: Blue Marlin Swim Academy, Swim Rite, Paradise Inn Swimming Academy, Ponteen’s Powerboat and Swimming Academy, Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center’s Bring It Swim Team and Swim to Win.
Bring it Swim clubNevis Aquatic and Sailing Center’s Bring It Swim Team coached by James Weekes won the Best Club Trophy winning 43 Gold Medals overall.
The children showed incredible growth and the sport of swimming is developing quickly. With 6 clubs and over 90 children participating the competition is growing each meet. Congratulations to all the swimmers, coaches, parents, clubs and volunteers and organizers on a great competition.
