Brantley; 20,000 Vaccines Expected on Friday

St. Kitts-Nevis (WINN) – Members of the Nevis Island Assembly received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine on Wednesday (February 24).

Premier Mark Brantley said he overcame his fear of needles to take the first vaccine at close to 3 p.m. with his wife as the second.

St. Kitts and Nevis has received 2000 vaccines compliments the Commonwealth of Dominica.  Medical Chief of Staff Dr. Cameron Wilkinson took the first vaccine on St Kitts, followed by Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris.  In all 70 people were reportedly vaccinated on St. Kitts on Monday (February 22).

The good news though is 20,000 vaccines are expected in the Federation on Friday (February 26). Mr. Brantley disclosed that information during his monthly press conference on Thursday (February 25).
