St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Premier of Nevis and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Civil Aviation, Mark Brantley says that the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) money has been disproportionately deployed on the island of St. Kitts and he will not rest until he there is an acceptable formula.
Speaking at his monthly press conference Brantley explained that leading up to the federal elections of 2015, that the SIDF, that then existed, and was heavily financed through the CBI program had granted nearly 100 million dollars to various institution in St. Kitts and Nevis while the island of Nevis got two loans one at 6% and the other at 6.5%.
On the other hand, Minister Brantley lauded the St. Kitts and Nevis Government for trying to bring balance to the monthly sharing of the funds but questions whether the amount granted to Nevis in the sum of $3,750,000 per month truly reflects a fair share.
