St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Five students at the Ivor Walters Primary School will eat free on the school meals program for the remainder of the school term, courtesy of the Wesleyan Holiness Church in Brown Hill, Nevis.
Rev. Ron Daniel and Sis. Tyianna Williams, on behalf of the church, handed over a cheque for $1,250 to the school’s principal, Janice Richards, and deputy principal, Omelle Browne, on Monday, April 24, 2023.
Rev. Daniel said that the church is excited to lend a helping hand to assist the students and parents. “We see it as our way of being Christ’s ambassadors here on earth by looking after the real needs of our people.”
The church made the decision that the entire offering from the funeral service of Hesketh “Futty” Williams, a past Brown Hill resident, would be used to assist students on the school meals program. The church then supplemented that offering to ensure that at least five students were able to benefit.
