(BVI News) Former Managing Director of the BVI Ports Authority, Oleanvine Maynard, is now expected to plead guilty in a criminal narcotics trafficking and money laundering case in Florida, leaving former Premier Andrew Fahie as the only one of three defendants still fighting the charges.

Maynard’s filing, made on Tuesday at a federal court in Miami, comes days after her son, Kadeem Maynard aka Blacka, also made the court aware of his intention to plead guilty in the matter.

In the filing, the senior Maynard also had her change-of-plea hearing set for June 12 alongside her son.

The Maynards and 52-year-old Fahie face one count each of conspiracy to import a controlled substance, conspiracy to engage in money laundering, and attempted money laundering, with Oleanvine Maynard and Fahie each facing an additional count of “interstate and foreign travel in aid of racketeering”.

There is no indication in the court records as to which count(s) the Maynards intend to plead guilty.
