(BVI News) Kadeem Stephan Maynard aka Blacka and his mother, Oleanvine Pickering Maynard, are both expected to appear before a Florida judge today, June 12 to change their pleas to guilty in a drug trafficking and money laundering case.
Former Premier Andrew Fahie remains the only one of three defendants still fighting the charges and is expected to face trial next month.
The Maynards and 52-year-old Fahie face one count each of conspiracy to import a controlled substance, conspiracy to engage in money laundering, and attempted money laundering, with Oleanvine Maynard and Fahie each facing an additional count of “interstate and foreign travel in aid of racketeering”.
The trio was nabbed following a months-long United States (US) Drug Enforcement Administration-led sting operation and were later criminally charged and indicted for the alleged offences according to an affidavit from a DEA agent in support of the criminal complaint against the trio.
