St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN)—Canadian officials are scheduled to visit St. Kitts and Nevis on September 17 and 18, 2026, to collect biometric data from applicants for Canadian visas, study permits, work permits, and residence permits.
The two-day initiative will allow eligible applicants to submit their fingerprints and photographs locally at the St. Kitts Marriott Beach Resort.
The collection exercise will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both days. Applicants will not need to travel overseas to provide their biometrics during the special exercise.
Canadian immigration biometrics consist of fingerprints and a photograph. Applicants for visitor visas, study permits, or work permits generally need to provide this information unless they qualify for an exemption.
The opportunity is available to:
- Nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis planning to travel to Canada.
- Applicants who have submitted an online or paper application for a Canadian visa or permit and received an official Biometric Instruction Letter.
- Citizens of other countries living in St. Kitts and Nevis who require a Canadian visa and have received the required instruction letter.
Applicants who need to provide biometrics receive a Biometric Instruction Letter confirming that requirement. The letter is issued as part of the application process after the applicable biometrics fee has been paid.
Applicants must secure a pre-booked appointment before attending the collection exercise.
To request an appointment, they should email Canadian officials at BDGTN-VISA@international.gc.ca and include their visa application file number.
Walk-ins will not be accepted. Canadian immigration guidance also advises applicants to book a biometrics appointment as soon as they receive their Biometric Instruction Letter to avoid processing delays.
Each applicant must bring:
- A valid passport.
- The official Biometric Instruction Letter.
Officials will not collect biometrics or process applications from individuals who do not have the required instruction letter. Applicants should therefore ensure that both documents are available before attending their appointment.
The temporary collection exercise provides a local option for Canadian visa applicants in St. Kitts and Nevis who would otherwise need to complete the biometric stage at an official collection site.
