St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): At Monday’s virtual meeting of CARICOM leaders, heads of government were briefed by the Caribbean Public Health Agency and the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency on the COVID-19 situation in the region and the Atlantic Hurricane Season.
The discussion focused on continued vigilance and national surveillance to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through enforcing agreed protocols for public health.
Leaders agreed to promote testing before travelers leave their countries as well as testing on arrival in member states in order to promote sustainable tourism in CARICOM.
A framework of protocols are also being promoted to operate a “bubble” within the region to facilitate travel and domestic tourism.
