St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The reigning St Kitts-Nevis National Carnival Queen, Nekirah Nicholls will be representing the Federation at the 59th production of the Jaycees Queen Show at Carnival City in Antigua on Wednesday, July 27 2022. Show time is at 8 pm for the cost of EC $50.00
The pageant will be held under the theme, “Unleashing the potential within, through resilience and determination.”
Nicholls is one of six crown contenders in the upcoming pageant. Representing the five other islands are Nia St Claire from Montserrat Emmanuella Michel from Haiti, Briana Anthony from Antigua and Barbuda, Chronna Khan from Trinidad and Tobago, as well as Wenia Verneuil from St Lucia.
The 2022 Jaycees Queen Show Chairperson, Miss Ayana Dorsette confirmed that the ladies are expected to arrive in Antigua on July 23 2022. On that day, they will engage in various activities including orientation, a brunch where they will pick their numbers for on stage performances, visit to Sponsors, as well as a visit to the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, the Hon Gaston Browne. The ladies, however, will depart on July 28.
The Jaycees Queen Show was not hosted in the years 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The reigning queen is Shannakisha Francis of Antigua and Barbuda.
