St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Mr. Kevin Hope, recently appointed Executive Director of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, has tendered his resignation.
Mr. Hope told WINN FM that he resigned from the Chamber to go full-time into consulting and build his practice called Hopeeconomics.
He said, “After careful consideration, I’ve decided to move into my own Economics and Business Advisory practice. I prefer with my experience to offer advisory services to our regional Governments and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises who need technical advice/assistance and cannot afford the big advisory firms. At this stage, I also prefer the flexibility of a consultancy role.”
Mr. Hope was appointed as Executive Director of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce on October 21, 2021.
Mr. Hope has more than 15 years of policy and project-oriented experience working with Caribbean institutions on issues of Economic Development, Public Finance, Foreign Trade and Investment, Banking and Finance, and Debt Management. Development Specialist and Economist by profession, he is an Economics Ph.D. candidate with Bournemouth University, UK; and holds a M.Sc. Financial and Business Economics, and B.Sc. Economics, from the University of West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.
“Thank you so much for the opportunity to work for SKNCIC and represent the membership. During my time here, I’ve enjoyed advocating on behalf of the members, helping to raise the profile of the SKNCIC, facilitating business training, and our recent work on onboarding the political leaders to sign off on the Election Code of Conduct,” he said.
