St. Kitts-Nevis (WINN): St Kitts and Nevis has joined countries in Europe and the Caribbean in suspending flights from the United Kingdom (UK).
The Federation’s decision takes effect from Saturday, December 26, 2020.
A new variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, in the UK, currently dubbed the Virus Under Investigation (VUI) 202012-01 has caused countries to close their borders to travel to and from the UK.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Hazel Laws, Wednesday afternoon (December 23) offered a brief explanation on what is known about the new variant, and the decision to suspend flights from the UK.
