St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Mr Craig Tuckett has completed his legal licensing process and is admitted to the practice of law as a barrister in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Tuckett was called to the Bar of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court of St. Kitts and Nevis on Monday, December 05, 2022, having graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies St. Augustine Campus Faculty of Law – Trinidad and Tobago and also with a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School.

A WINN FM reporter spoke to Tuckett following his call to the Bar. He offered to be the best advocate to those he would serve and also ensure that the rules of the country are upheld.

“It was indeed a great experience, and I am now afforded the opportunity to be an officer of the court, a part of the third pillar of our constitutional democracy, which is the judiciary. I will do my endeavour best to offer my skills, my talents, my expertise, my academic and intellectual capacity to ensure that St. Kitts and Nevis adheres to the rule of law, to ensure that justice prevails and that everyone’s rights are protected and that they indeed get their due process in any matter that comes before the court.”

The new Attorney-At-Law was called to the Bar before Justice Yvette Wallace, moved by Legal Counsel Glenford Hamilton.

Also in attendance to witness the occasion were the former Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr Timothy Harris, as well as Tuckett’s parents- Dr Sharon Esdaille and Mr Samuel Joseph Tuckett.
