Cricket Set to Resume on Nevis


St. Kitts and Nevis (Sports Page) – Cricket fans on Nevis, would be happy to note that cricket matches will resume on the island, commencing on Saturday 21st August.

At a meeting with representatives of teams and clubs, held at the Nevis Credit Union’s conference room, on Wednesday 11th August, the following information was shared by the President of the Nevis Cricket Association, Mr Carlisle Powell:

  • The league commences on Saturday 21st August
  • Fixtures will be circulated by Thursday 12th August
  • All teams must be uniformed
  • As regards the covid-19 protocol’s requirements, a log will be kept; the temperature of spectators taken;  spectators must wear masks; only fully vaccinated persons can enter the grounds; children will be exempted
  • Three grounds will be used, with two utilized for each round of matches: ET Willet Park; VOJN grounds and Brown Hill grounds
