Cricket: Tagenarine gets Test Cap but Windies made to toil

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – The West Indies Cricket team has commenced the first test match of their current tour versus Australia.

The match commenced on Tuesday and was memorable for Tagenarine Chanderpaul, son of Shivnarine Chanderpaul, as he received his test cap, from the hands of Brian Lara.

However, there was not much joy for the Caribbean men after that, as they were made to toil, all day, as the Australian top order took a heavy toll of the bowling.

Summarized scores at the end of day one: Australia 293 for 2 (Labuschagne 154*, Khawaja 65; Smith 59*) vs West Indies
