St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – Information reaching WINN’s news desk suggests that three senior Crown Counsels have resigned from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

The intention of the prosecutors to resign was communicated earlier this year with a tentative September date. Now it seems that the prosecutors have indeed tendered their resignations.

In circulation was a message indicating that the entire DPP’s office staff had resigned. However, multiple sources close to WINN suggested that information was an exaggeration.

According to one source, the reasons for the resignation are that they are overworked and there is a lack of resources available.

WINN could not reach anyone from the DPP’s office for comment on the matter. Mr Valston Graham, the Director of Public Prosecutions, is also reportedly off-island.

More on this as information becomes available.
