ST JOHN’S, Antigua — Cricket West Indies (CWI) on Friday announced a new media and data agreement with sports content giant Stats Perform who will become CWI’s exclusive partner of official international and domestic cricket data and live stream rights.
According to CWI, the partnership will bring a new revenue outcome through live streams, live data, and news video for all CWI home international fixtures across all men’s and women’s formats including the men’s, women’s and ‘A’ team.
The cricket body noted that it will include the ongoing high profile tours against South Africa and Australia, and both men’s and women’s fixtures against Pakistan and will cover CWI’s domestic competitions such as the CG Insurance Super50 Cup and West Indies Championship.
CWI now joins Stats Perform’s slate of exclusive and official real-time statistics across multiple cricket rights holders including Cricket Australia, England and Wales Cricket Board, International Cricket Council, New Zealand Cricket and Cricket South Africa.
CWI said the addition of live video of CWI international and regional matches games to Stats Perform’s live stream service — which supplies premium live game streams to licensed sportsbooks — will further enhance in-play cricket betting services, the regional cricket body said.
Meanwhile, CWI’s website and social media channels will also benefit from comprehensive coverage of live scores and statistics for every player and team, across all their fixtures, enhancing the scoring and player data available for West Indies fans to engage with.
Commenting on the partnership, Commercial Director for CWI, Dominic Warne said: “Partnering with Stats Perform creates a valuable new channel to increase the audience for and distribution of West Indies and regional tournament content allowing us to further connect with fans and partners in the Caribbean and overseas.
“This partnership also delivers a new revenue stream for CWI with distribution of content and data into sportsbooks, fantasy providers, global media and broadcasters. Stats Perform should be an excellent partner for CWI, considering their understanding of fans and the sports ecosystem, and the additional reach and data benefits that this partnership provides,” Warne added.
