St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The SOL Island Auto Conaree Football Club, in conjunction with S.E.L.F -Seeing Everyone Like Family, continues their social responsibility agenda by hosting a Food Fair.
President of the groups, Mr Delwayne Delaney, told a WINN FM reporter that the Food Fair is geared towards building camaraderie between Conaree Community members and to raise funds for the football club.
Delaney said there is much to expect at the Food Fair, which includes dishes, such as Goat, water, conch water, cook-up, fish soup, ital, BBQ, and locally made drinks, which will all be prepared by food vendors residing in the community.
According to Delaney, the event is a whole family affair, with entertainment organised for children and adults alike.
The Food Fair will be hosted at Bummers Park in Conaree on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 3:00 p.m.
The Food Fair is one of many initiatives organised by S.E.L.F and The Conaree Football Club. Delwayne Delaney recalled previous activities and events such as Agro Fair, Back to School Giveaways, Christmas Parties, Food Hampers, Hurricane Relief Assistance to Dominica and The Bahamas, COVID-19 Care packages etc.
Recently on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, boys ages 4-12 in the Conaree community were invited to an interactive session with members of the Conaree Football Club in commemoration of International Day of the Boy Child.
The boys were engaged in open discussions and several indoor games.
Delaney said the groups are looking forward to delivering more community outreach initiatives.
