St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): With the change in leadership of the opposition St. Kitts Nevis Labour Party looming Dr. Terrence Drew, one of the nominees, professes that the 89-year-old political movement will reemerge to reclaim the reins of government.
Dr. Drew echoed those sentiments on Tuesday (Nov. 02) while delivering his campaign address for leadership of the SKNLP.
“St. Kitts and Nevis is in need of dire leadership and the SKNLP intends to be the solution,” Dr. Drew said, adding that “on November 28, with your help and the help of God, the SKNLP, under new leadership will emerge prepared, renewed, fit and ready to once again lead our comrades to victory and our country to new heights of prosperity, peace, and oneness.”.
He said, “I have taken this bold step of accepting the nomination for the position of national leader because I firmly believe that the St. Kitts Nevis Labour Party is the best option for you.”.
Dr Drew, the party’s current Chairman and candidate for constituency #8 said “I am humbled and grateful for the confidence you have placed in me and for believing in me even as I continue to learn and grow.”.
“Thank you for your love, support, and prayers as I endeavour to bring leadership to our party and to our country that is inclusive, empathetic, nurturing, consultative, transparent, and above all democratic.”.
