St.Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The new Leader of the opposition Labour Party thanked everyone for the selection of the leadership and said the Labour Party have re-emerged renewed, reinvigorated and re-energised, ready for the task at hand, under new leadership.
Following the Party’s National Conference held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort on Sunday, November 28, 2021, Dr Drew was named winner on the party’s official Facebook page. Drew succeeds Dr. Denzil Douglas as Leader of the party, after 32 years of leadership.
Drew committed to working to redefine the party with a new vision that begins now, he said, “I pledge to document, preserve and protect the legacy of the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas and sincere gratitude for his innovative and outstanding leadership for the party for the last 32 years” who Drew said had passed the mantle, to allow a new vision to begin.
Dr. Drew pledges to take a “bottom-up approach” and find common ground by respecting the viewpoint of others. He added that the team will take a comprehensive approach to internal and external communications, membership, fundraising and accountability for the party.

Drew congratulated all of the delegates at the 89th National Labour Conference on November 28, 2021, and outlined the Labour party executive committee as follows:

National Chairperson: Dr. Earle Asim Martin
Vice-Chairpersons: Diana Williams, Thamesha Fyfield and Dr. Jenson Morton
