St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Dr. Terrance Drew has been sworn in as the fourth Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis following his St. Kitts Nevis Labour Party’s win in the August 5, 2022 general elections.
According to results issued by the Supervisor of Elections Mr. Elvin Bailey, Dr. Drew’s SKNLP captured six of the eight seats on St. Kitts. The remaining two seats were secured by People’s Labour Party leader Dr. Timothy Harris and People’s Action Movement leader Shawn Richards.
Following the SKNLP’s victory, the party thanked the citizens for their support.
Dr. Drew was sworn in as Prime Minister on Saturday, August 06, 2022, by Governor-General Sir. Tapley Seaton.
Dr. Drew, following his swearing in, thanked the people of the Federation for their support. He pledged his support and commitment to the people of Nevis.
A new Cabinet is expected to be named in the coming days.
