St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): A computerized tomography (CT) scan machine valued at US$839,000.00 is expected to arrive in Nevis at the end of the first quarter of 2022.

Junior Minister of Health, the Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams made the announcement at the Nevis Island Assembly on Wednesday, December 08, 2021.

“I am exceedingly happy to report that very soon the Alexandra Hospital…and the people of Nevis will be the recipients of a brand new state-of-the-art CT scan machine,” said Brandy-Williams.

“…I want to say that one of our kind donors, the Drahi Foundation, has come forward and they have donated a CT scan machine. Upon arrival, we have the setup and the commissioning before it is available for use,” she added.

The Junior Health Minister further revealed that a hematology analyzer valued at US$20,000.00; a vaccine refrigerator at a cost of US$13,000.00; and oxygen concentrators totaling US$20,000.00 have been purchased by the Nevis Island Administration.
