St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck near Antigua and Barbuda Friday night but there were no reports of injuries or damage.
The UWI Seismic Research Centre said the event occurred at 11:12 p.m. (local time) at latitude: 16.86 north, longitude: 61.14 west, and at a depth of ten kilometers.
The earthquake was also reportedly felt at 81 kilometers northeast of Guadeloupe, 83 kilometers southeast of Antigua and Barbuda, and 175 kilometers north of Dominica.
People in St. Kitts and Nevis took to social media reporting that they felt the earthquake and that there were tremors from as early as 8 p.m.
