St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank continues its efforts to engage with the community, especially with the members of the Orange economy, better known as the Creative economy, with its show Youth Xpress – Youth in the Creative Industry.
In Youth Xpress, the ECCB will meet with some of the young people in ECCB member countries who “are making their mark in this dynamic sector”.
Why the focus on young people?
According to UNESCO, the Creative Industry employs more young people than any other sector. The global statistics show the industry employs 30 million people, which generates US$2.25 billion annually.
The first episode for this season features Desi Brown, a Creative Enterprise Entrepreneur in St. Kitts and Nevis. She spoke at length about her passion for the arts and creating a space for people who want to pursue careers in the Creative Economy that she never had growing up.
