St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The Small Business Development Center (SBDC)- St.Kitts will be hosting entrepreneurs at a “Finance Ready Seminar” on Thursday, October 06 2022.
According to Delwayne Delaney- Senior Business Advisor at the Small Business Development Center, the aim of the seminar is to bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and financial institutions as it relates to loan accessibility.
Delaney said the seminar is being held in collaboration with the Eastern Caribbean Partial Guarantee Corporation (ECPCGC). He said entrepreneurs will learn about the Corporation and how it works with commercial banks to assist small businesses. The Senior Business Advisor further mentioned that entrepreneurs will be informed about the logistics needed when trying to access loans as well as important business activities to be carried out such as stock taking and record keeping.
On March 2, 2017, the Monetary Council of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank approved and signed the Agreement for the Eastern Caribbean Partial Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECPCGC). The ECPCGC formally began operations on May 7, 2018. St.Kitts and Nevis is one of six participating nations, where the Corporation is established.
Delaney said it is important that entrepreneurs participate in the Seminar so that they can be more “finance ready.” The seminar will be held at the Information Communication Technology Center at 5:30 pm on Thursday, October 06 2022.
