Escaped prisoner surrenders to authorities

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Police have confirmed that the escaped prisoner has turned himself in after being on the run for more than 24 hours. 

Alphonso Thompson, 50, turned himself into the police on Sunday night. 

Thompson, a resident of West Farm, escaped custody on Friday night while at the JNF General Hospital receiving medical treatment. 

He was convicted on October 22, 2021, for the offence of making use of threatening language and was sentenced to serve 30 days.
