Farmers invited to soil, climate change & smart agriculture workshop

The Department of Agriculture, St. Kitts, through the Soil Fertility and Pesticides Residue Analysis Laboratory will be facilitating a Soil, Climate Change and Smart Agriculture Workshop on Thursday 6th July 2023.

The workshop is geared towards farmers, technical officers and other agricultural stakeholders interested in learning how to build resilience, analyse soil and enhance optimum food production. The areas of focus include: soil fertility testing, climate change adaptation and weather related information and smart agricultural practices and techniques.

The capacity building workshop is set to be held at the Needsmust Soil Lab, opposite Flow Grounds from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

To register, interested persons are asked to contact the Soil Lab at 467- 2372 or send an email to needsmustsoillab@gmail.com.

Registration can also be done via a Google link available on the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources and Cooperatives Facebook page.
