(Press release) The Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 continues to make history in the lead up to the 9th edition of this globally anticipated ICC tournament set for 1-29 June in the West Indies and the USA.
Almost four million ticket applications have been submitted to date and that number is expected to rise before the deadline closes.
Fans from around the world and in the USA and the Caribbean are encouraged to apply for tickets at tickets.t20worldcup.com before the ballot ends at 23h59 Antigua Standard Time on 7 February. The ballot is not a first-come first-served system and all applicants within the seven-day window will have an equal chance of obtaining tickets.
Entering the ballot is the best opportunity for fans to get tickets to the games they want, at the venues they want, and for the ticket category they desire. Ticket categories and prices can be viewed here.
Applications have come from over 160 countries and of the nearly four million applications received, a significant amount has come from the Americas. Within seven -10 days of the ballot closure, successful applicants will receive an email notifying them of what matches they have secured tickets to and will be provided with a link through which payment will need to be made.
Fans are reminded that they will have to purchase all of the tickets allocated to them for a specific match. They will not be able to purchase a lesser or higher number of tickets for each match than they applied for. Fans can revise their ticket application before the ballot closes at tickets.t20worldcup.com. Tickets available after the ballot window closes will be released for general sale on 22 February. For further information on ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 tickets, see our FAQs on tickets.t20worldcup.com.
A limited number of Venue Specific Ticket Packages is also on sale for each of the Caribbean venues and those interested in acquiring guaranteed tickets can do so through the tournament’s official travel packages. These are separate and apart from the ballot application process and are available through designated partners in various countries. The complete list of official travel partners can be found here.
ICC Head of Events, Chris Tetley said: “We are delighted to see the global demand for tickets for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup to be hosted in June in the West Indies and the USA. We have seen almost four million applications for tickets over the past week and we urge any fans who have not yet applied, to enter the ballot before the window closes to ensure you get the best chance of securing your seats.”
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Tournament Director Fawwaz Baksh said: “We are very encouraged by the ballot response so far and the numbers speak for themselves. We also do appreciate that the ballot process is a relatively new way for Caribbean nationals to secure tickets to a cricket game and we continue to encourage West Indian fans to make the most of the opportunity provided by the ballot, as it provides an equal opportunity for all fans from across the Caribbean to participate in a major World Cup that is being played right in their back yard.”
Tickets prices start at just US$6 and over 260,000 tickets are on sale at tickets.t20worldcup.com for group stage, Super Eight and semi-finals for US $25 and under. There’s still time to enter. Apply today.
