St. Kits and Nevis (WINN): Almost four months and there has been no publishing of the forensic audit report reportedly done on the accounts of the Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis (DBSKN).

But Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew has provided an explanation why.

“Because of the nature of the report and the information that is there…we put it through a process and that will determine when we make it available. Just because of what we have uncovered with respect to the Development Bank and the activities that took place there.”

Those comments were made on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at The Roundtable, a special interview with Prime Minister Dr. Drew.

Questions are being raised about whether or not there are people who may face criminal charges or be asked to repay money reportedly stolen from the bank. Dr. Drew said his administration has since strengthened the Development Bank and assured citizens and residents of the stability of the financial institution.

Prime Minister Dr. Drew first made mention of the forensic audit and millions reportedly missing from the Development Bank during the budget debate in December 2022
