GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands, CMC – A former premier of this British Overseas territory, McKeeva Bush, has denied two counts of indecent assault charges against two women.

The veteran politician and former speaker of the House, who was granted bail, pleaded not guilty when he appeared in court on Friday.

The trial is scheduled for September 11.

The charges stem from allegations that in September 2022, Bush behaved inappropriately with two female government employees during a cocktail reception at the Ritz-Carlton hotel, where the tourism ministry was hosting a Caribbean Tourism Organisation conference.
