Global Youth Network Summit Climate Change and Women’s and Children’s Mental Health

Press Release, 26th September 2022 — In its fifth year running, we are extending an invitation to you to attend and cover our Global  Youth Network Summit on September 28th, 2022, from 9:00 am AST. The event will  evolve around Climate Change and Women’s and Children’s Mental Health and take place  virtually under the patronage of The Ashley Lashley Foundation – the Healthy and Environmentally Friendly Youth Campaign in partnership with UNICEF Eastern Caribbean  Area Office, Clara Lionel Foundation and Open Society Foundation.

The Summit first started in 2018 by the Foundation’s founder Ashley Lashley, under the  theme Non-Communicable Diseases and since then has seen four summits with the last two  being facilitated under the HEY Campaign. These summits touched on topics such as  Sustainable Development Goals, Climate Change and Health and Sports for Climate Action.  To date, these summits have seen members of the international community, businesses, and  civil society come together and learn and generate solutions towards these varying themes.

Our summit aims to bring together experts and youth from across the global experts under  three thematic sessions. These sessions include Strengthening Climate Action – Women and  Girls Leading the Response, Women’s and Children’s Mental Health in the Climate Crisis  and Inclusive Action, The Role of Men, and the Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups.

The Ashley Lashley Foundation and its partners remain focused on fighting for climate  justice and action. We simply cannot afford just to talk when it comes to an existential crisis  such as this.
