Government announces plans for phase three of JNF General Hospital

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Construction of phase three of the Joseph N. France General Hospital is expected to commence soon according to Prime Minister the Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris. 

“This will be a significant investment of over $26 million which will result in improvement in 12 service areas at the JNF General Hospital including pathology, laboratory, a new psychiatric wing, a new centralization unit, central medical stores, kitchen, cafeteria, laundry, conference and lecture halls.”

Prime Minister Dr. Harris noted that the addition of these brand new facilities and the recruitment of new medical specialists will lead to a significant enhancement in the quality of health care and improve conditions for staff at the hospital. 

Cardiologists, cardiology technicians, MRI technologists, nurses in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory are some of the medical specialists to be recruited. 

Plans for the construction of the new health facility were announced following the June 05, 2020, General Election.
