Hanley Defeats Patches

St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): At news time Saturday (June 6) the three-party coalition Team Unity of the People’s Action Movement(PAM), the Concerned Citizens Movement(CCM) and the People’s Labor Party(PLP), was declared the winner of the June 5 General Elections winning 8 seats to the St. Kitts Nevis Labour Party’s (SKNLP) 2, with one result pending.

Election results trickled in from the battleground constituencies #1 and #8, Saturday evening, the day after polls closed.

In Constituency #1 the SKNLP candidate Dr. Geoffrey Hanley defeated the incumbent PAM candidate Ian “Patches” Liburd.

Supervisor of Elections Elvin Bailey made that announcement after 4 pm, Saturday.

 

At news time Saturday evening, there was no official result from the Supervisor of Elections on the fate of incumbent PAM Eugene Hamilton and SKNLP challenger Dr Terrance Drew in Constituency #8.
