St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): In a release from Government House, a newly appointed Governor-General’s Deputy was named.
The Governor-General, Her Excellency Dame Marcella A. Liburd, advised the public of her absence from the Federation from Wednesday, May 3, 2023, to attend the Coronation Ceremony of King Charles The Third on May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey in London.
Because of her absence, His Excellency Mr. Walford Vincent Gumbs, OBE, JP, will serve as Governor-General’s Deputy and will act on her behalf.
The Governor-General’s Deputy was administered his Oaths at a brief ceremony at Government House on May 3 in accordance with the Constitution.
