St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The Ministry of Education on Nevis has addressed the circulation of a document purporting to be official scores for the 2022 Gulf Insurance Interprimary Schools Championship held on Wednesday.
“Please note that the Ministry of Education has not circulated any documents related to the scores for the meet. The final scores will be shared on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. through a press briefing,” a statement from the Ministry of Education said.
According to the statement issued Friday, the scores for the meet are currently under review.
The statement follows the widespread circulation of a document via social media with scores conflicting with those released on Wednesday where the St. Thomas’ Primary School and the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School tied for second place in Division A. The document also suggested that the Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School is the Division B champion as opposed to the Maude Cross Preparatory School.
“We thank the students, coaches, school leaders, parents and the general community for your patience during this time as we look forward to completing the verification process. We apologize for any inconvenience which may be caused by the review process and assure you that we will continue to work to provide the best resolution, in the best interest of all parties, especially the children,” the statement further read.
