St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The St.Kitts-Nevis Fire and Rescue Services responded to a report of a structural fire on Friday morning, January 13, 2023, in McKnight Village.
A crew from the Basseterre Fire Unit, with the assistance of the Sandy Point Unit, which was in the district at the time, responded to the fire call.
Upon arrival, the officers observed fire coming from a concrete structure and went into action, extinguishing the flames. The fire was confined to the kitchen, and a number of personal resources were lost.
The fire may be a result of arson. Investigations are underway.
