Iroy Marshall and Samuel Maynard charged with ‘Possession Of Firearms, Ammunitions’


St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – On August 16, an image made the rounds on social media saying that law enforcement seized a vessel in Dieppe Bay that was involved in smuggling.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force released a statement on August 17 stating that two illegal firearms were seized from the vessel by the Police following a search conducted on a fishing vessel in Dieppe Bay on August 16. 

According to the authorities, the fishing vessel is marked Issiah with registration number ‘V4-600-DB’ and was owned and operated by Iroy Marshall with Samuel Maynard as a passenger.

The Police found one AK-47 rifle with a scope with 64 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, one Taurus semi-automatic 9mm pistol with laser, and 152  rounds of 9mm ammunition. 

The Police have since shared that they have formally arrested and charged 38-year-old Iroy Marshall of Main Street, Saddlers Village and 43-year-old Samuel Maynard of Dieppe Bay for the offences of Possession of Firearms and Possession of Ammunitions in connection with the weapons found on the vessel in Dieppe Bay. 

Marshall and Maynard were charged on August 18 and are both in Police custody.
