St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The Hurricane Season has officially begun.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have indicated that this season will be above normal with 13 to 20 named storms, of which 6 to 10 could develop into hurricanes and 3 – 5 becoming major hurricanes.
Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency Mr. Abdias Samuels reminded the public that COVID-19 is still a factor in preparation for this year’s Atlantic Season which has most of its activity between June 1 and November 30.
While the country is currently experiencing drought-like conditions and some are preparing for rain, it is critical to prepare for likely storms.
Communication Manager Vesta Southwell, a guest on a recent edition of WINN FM’s VOICES offered advice to families
