James Morton dies a day after being hit by vehicle, Police investigating

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is investigating a traffic accident that resulted in the death of James Morton from Monkey Hill, St. Peter’s, St. Kitts. The incident occurred on June 18, 2024, on George Street in Newtown, St. Kitts.


Preliminary investigations indicate that Morton was struck by a vehicle while walking on George Street. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported him to the Joseph N. France General Hospital, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with severe head injuries. He passed away on June 19, 2024.


The driver of the vehicle, unnamed by the authorities, was apprehended at the scene and is cooperating with authorities as part of the ongoing investigation.


The RSCNPF requests that anyone with information about the incident contact the nearest police station or the Crime Stoppers at 707.
