St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – A self-defence course in Krav Maga, which is a form of Karate, got on the way, at the St. George’s Anglican church hall, on Monday.
Gavin Gerald, who is a trained instructor, noted that he had sharpened his skills while he was away in the USA and decided to ensure that more Nevisians are trained in defending themselves.
He therefore coordinated the course with Dexter Bowrin, who is the USA Goju instructor on Nevis.
He invited facilitator of the course, Goncalo Esteves, who is a blackbelt instructor, to come along and lead out in the training program.
There are currently about fifteen persons attending the training sessions, with the more seasoned ones involved in the instructors ‘course, while the others are just being trained in self defence techniques.
