St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Kittitians have yet another opportunity to celebrate and rally behind their first cricketing hero, Mikyle Louis, who has earned a nomination for the upcoming 8th CWI/WIPA Awards Gala.
Louis was listed amongst other big names in cricket who were nominated in the category, ‘West Indies Championship Player of the Year’.

The nomination recognises Louis as one of the West Indies’ most elite players, particularly for his standout batting and fielding performances.Â
Louis scored a total of 429 runs for the Leeward Islands in the 2025 West Indies Championship. His total score included 1 century and three half-centuries.
The Cricket West Indies/ West Indies Players Association Awards Gala was scheduled to be held on June 22, 2025, at the Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord’s Castle. Alongside recognition of top regional performers in cricket, this year’s ceremony will also commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1975 ICC Cricket World Cup victory, led by Sir Clive Lloyd.
