St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Ms Joshornnia Edwards from St. Kitts was named the Caribbean’s Top Female CXC-Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence student of 2022.
Edwards received her award during a regional virtual ceremony held by the Caribbean Examination Council to recognise outstanding candidates for the May-June 2022 examination sitting. The Presentation of Awards Ceremony was held on Thursday, February 09, 2023.
Hon. Dr Geoffrey Hanley, Minister of Education in the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, expressed his pride in the student’s performance.
“Standing out in the crowd of elite students is a remarkable accomplishment worth celebrating. This certificate, known as the Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence award, distinguishes Ms Edwards among her peers and is indicative of her potential for success.”
Edwards, a scholar of the Social Security Board of St. Kitts and Nevis, also received commendation from the organisation, stating, “We are super proud of you!”
Edwards became a scholarship recipient of the Social Security Board upon her entry into secondary school. The Susanna Lee High School Scholarship provides financial assistance and mentorship to its scholars from first to sixth form.
Edwards, a former student of the Verchilds High School, is now a first-year student at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.
